Yao Ming was born in China in 1980. Yao Ming took part in Shanghai Basketball Team in 1997. In 2002, he was selected first in the NBA Draft by Houston. He retired on July 20, 2011. Yao Ming was listed as one of the 100 “Most Influential People in the world” by Time magazine. He is the son of two great basketball players and learnt how to play basketball when he was young.
